FFMC Format Rules
Materia Cup Main Event Format Rules
Format: Standard Constructed
Deck Size: 50 card main deck and 8 Card Limit break deck, neither may have more than 3 copies of the same card. The 50 Card deck and 8 limit break deck must be sleeved in two differing sets so that both decks are uniform but distinguishable from each other.
Deck Restriction: Additional deck building restrictions such as banned cards may be found on the square enix website : https://fftcg.square-enix-games.com/en/play-article/ban-list-errata
Swiss Rounds: Number of rounds will be based upon attendance. The top 8 ranked from the Swiss format will qualify for day 2 single elimination bracket.
Round Timer:
Day 1: Best of 1, 30 min rounds + overtime procedures.
Day 2: Best of 3, 70 minute rounds + overtime procedures.
Tournament Rules: Players must adhere to the deckbuilding restrictions, All cards must be from FFTCG prints and no proxies are allowed. Players must bring a decklist for verification with the full card codes written from the original set print. For example Amaterasu would be written as just 12-002H. For example Amaterasu would be written as just 12-002H, even if it is a promo or legacy collection variant.

Format: Team Trios (Standard Constructed)
Deck Size: 3 sets of 50 card main deck and 8 Card Limit break deck, each set of main decks and limit break deck may not have more than 3 copies of the same card. The 50 Card decks and 8 limit break decks must be sleeved in differing sets so that each deck is uniform but distinguishable from each other.

Swiss Rounds: Number of rounds will be based upon attendance. There will be no top cut and ranking will be solely based on the Swiss results.
Round Timer: Best of 1, 30 min rounds + overtime procedures.
Tournament Rules: Players must adhere to the deckbuilding restrictions, All cards must be from FFTCG prints and no proxies are allowed. Players will form teams of 3 of best of 1 swiss against opposing teams. Whichever team gets 2 wins automatically wins the match.

Constructed Deck Size: Minimum of 40 cards main deck and a maximum of 8 cards LB deck. The main Card deck and limit break deck must be sleeved in two differing sets so that both decks are uniform but distinguishable from each other.
Deck Restriction: The usual deck building restrictions are lifted and you may use more than 3 copies of the same card code if drafted. Additionally non limit break cards may be used in the limit break deck, however they can only be used for the purpose of playing other limit break Cards.
Swiss Rounds: Number of rounds will be based upon attendance. There will be no top cut and ranking will be solely based on the Swiss results.
Round Timer: Best of 1, 30 min rounds + overtime procedures.
Tournament Rules: A chaos draft pod will be made up of four or more players each with five random FFTCG packs. Each player opens one pack, picks one card to keep, and passes the rest to the next player—first to the left, then alternating directions with each new pack. This continues until all cards have been chosen. After drafting all five packs, each player has 60 cards from which they build their deck.
